Which ingredients are used in the best fried rice recipe
Although it is believed that the Chinese invented fried rice, there is no doubt that every country has their signature fried rice recipe. Whether it is from Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand, each country uses ingredients that are slightly different from each other in an effort to create something that suits their tastes. For example, in Chinese cuisine, some of the most popular ingredients for a good fried rice recipe include BBQ pork, shrimp and peas. However, if you were to look at Malaysian cuisine, you would find that many chefs decide to use dried shrimp, scallions and pork floss instead.
There is no clear-cut winner when trying to decide which fried rice recipe is the best but there are certainly some memorable ingredients used. For example, a lot of Thai fried rice recipes like to incorporate the use of pineapples. This adds a new dimension to the dish and gives it some sweetness that would otherwise not be present, since most of the ingredients are savory. The combination of this sweetness and slight acidity with the savory ingredients balance nicely and create a great effect in your mouth. You will be able to savor all of the best tastes and textures in one bite, which will surely leave you wanting more.
